BURLEIGHS GIN LAUNCHES NEW GIN AND TONIC CANS FOR THE ULTIMATE COCKTAIL EXPERIENCE

With Brits searching for ways to enjoy their favourite cocktail whilst on-the-move, at outdoor gatherings or even in the comfort of their own home, the arrival of canned alcoholic drinks has taken convenience to a whole new level.

Burleighs Gin has created its very own ready to drink gin and tonics with two flavours, the Signature Gin and Tonic and Pink Edition Gin and Tonic, available at Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s open-air outdoor cinema evenings on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 August, and its West End shows on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 September.

Costing £3.25 per can, the flavours are delicately blended using the distillery’s two most popular gins. The Burleighs’ Signature London Dry Gin, which is distilled with 11 carefully selected botanicals inspired by the local countryside and woodland is combined with a premium tonic containing a hint of elderflower to create a classic, crisp and vibrant G&T.

The Pink Edition Gin and Tonic uses Burleighs’ pink gin, which is inspired by the Japanese tradition of Hanami. The gin adds Japanese cherry blossom, hibiscus, rose and pink grapefruit to the signature recipe and is balanced with a hint of rhubarb and tonic – a perfect option for fans of zesty, floral gins.

Sam Watson, commercial director at Burleighs Gin said: “It’s no surprise that canned drinks have become popular as a convenient way to enjoy a refreshing alcoholic drink during outdoor gatherings and events – there’s no need for mixing or glassware, and it makes the overall experience so much easier without compromising on quality.

“We hope guests at Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s upcoming events enjoy this effortless way of savouring a delicious pre-made gin and tonic alongside top class entertainment.”

Head distiller, Charlie Hendon added: “Canned drinks can often lack the flavour and quality of a G&T you’d make yourself, but we were adamant that taste wasn’t going to be compromised for the convenience of our canned gin and tonics. Our customers can expect the same quality in our ready to drink gin and tonic as they love in our in our bottled range.

“We used our most popular Signature and Pink Edition gins, within our new canned range to ensure we have created something that packs plenty of good flavour. The Signature Gin and Tonic is inspired by the local countryside, including Burleigh Woods, near our distillery on Bawdon Lodge Farm in Nanpantan, and the Pink Edition is inspired by a visit to Japan during one of the most beautiful and fragrant times of the year.”

Burleighs Signature Gin and Tonic Can and Pink Edition Gin and Tonic Can, will also be available from other local outlets including Oakham Wines, Bawdon Lodge Farm, Wigston Fields News & Deli, Pennbury Farm in Great Glen and Norths Deli in both Rothley and Ashby.

Both 250ml cans have an ABV of 6% and can also be purchased via the Burleighs website: www.burleighsgin.com
